The PhD tribunal was composed by Dr. Juan Carlos Del Alamo (University of Washington), Dr. Simona Celi (Fondazione Toscana Gabriele Monasterio) and Dr. Matthew Daniels (University of Manchester).<\/span><\/p><p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm; text-align: justify; font-family: Calibri,sans-serif;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm; text-align: justify; font-family: Calibri,sans-serif;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Taking advantage of the event,<b> the day was\u00a0<\/b><\/span><b>complemented with a hybrid\u00a0<span class=\"gmail-il\">workshop<\/span> with presentations on left atrial fluid simulations from world-wide experts in the field<\/b>. It was an excellent meeting with a comprehensive review of the state of the art on this field, identifying the most relevant aspects to improve (e.g., verification\/validation, benchmarks, etc.), and exploring potential mechanisms to work together as a community.
