The EU funded project SimCardiotest and <a href=\"https:\/\/ineurheart.eu\/en\/\">inEurHeart\u00a0<\/a> were presented to schoolchildren and the general public. <b>Over 12,000 visitors attended the F\u00eate de la Science in Villeneuve-Loubet, near Nice.<\/b><\/p><p><strong>Buntheng Ly, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ihu-liryc.fr\/sauvons-des-vies\/?reserved_code_media=FILSEALP2&amp;gclid=CjwKCAjwnOipBhBQEiwACyGLuh8vZVIkjhK_LMyeJW2pG7jx_gI9_dUEY4I_lZLybtqrmnup5cRlDxoCqjUQAvD_BwE\">IHU-Liryc<\/a>&#8211;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.inria.fr\/en\">Inria<\/a><\/strong>, presented a<span style=\"mso-ansi-language: EN-US;\"> short introduction to cardiac physiology and cardiac imaging. The goal is to provide the general public some preamble notions of the mechanical and electrical functionalities of heart, and of how these phenomena can be captured\/monitored through medical imaging techniques. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.simcardiotest.eu\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/coeur_numeric.pdf\">Demo here (FR)<\/a>.<br \/><\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0He also presented his work on <span style=\"mso-ansi-language: EN-US;\">automatic Prediction<\/span><span style=\"mso-ansi-language: EN-US;\">of Cardiac Arrhythmia. Ana\u00eblle is specifically involved in the\u00a0<span style=\"font-weight: bold;\"><a style=\"text-decoration: var( --e-global-typography-accent-text-decoration ); font-family: var( --e-global-typography-accent-font-family ), Sans-serif; font-size: var( --e-global-typography-accent-font-size ); font-weight: var( --e-global-typography-accent-font-weight );\" href=\"https:\/\/ineurheart.eu\/en\/\">EITHealth project inEurHeart<\/a><\/span>. The aim of her work is to create a virtual representation of the patient&#8217;s heart: its digital twin. This digital heart can be analyzed prior to an ablation operation to better target the critical area at the origin of the arrhythmia (based on the identification of areas of calcification, wall thinning, presence of fat, myocardial infarction, etc.). He highlighted the important role that Artificial Intelligence can play in automating the early detection of heart disease and he also presented the applications of heart monitoring for sports and wellness assessments.
